NOTICE OF Pre-Canvassing and Canvassing Meeting

NEW State House Map   NEW State Senate Map

The York County Board of Elections will hold special hearings for the May 17, 2022 Primary Election in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 28 E. Market Street, 2nd Floor, York, Pennsylvania 17401 on the following dates: 
Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 1:00 P.M., Initial Certification.
Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. to determine the final eligibility of Provisional Ballots and to hear all appropriate challenges.
Friday, June 3, 2022 at Noon for the Casting of Lots to break any ties.
Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:00 P.M., Final Certification.

York County Board of Elections Responsibilities

  • Register voters and manage elections for York County
  • Processing new registrations, moves, change of political party, etc.
  • Furnishing street lists (alphabetical listing by street of all individuals registered to vote within York County)
  • Distributing and receiving nomination petitions
  • Preparing ballot
  • Retaining / paying local election board members
  • Programming and distributing voting machines to 161 voting precincts throughout York County
  • Distributing and receiving campaign expense statements / reports
  • Certifying election results
  • Receiving and retaining Statements of Financial Interest for candidates, nominees, public officials, public employees, or solicitors
